Dr Desmond Loke is a Principal Investigator at the Singapore University of Technology and Design. He works on a research project on the topic of the synthesis of novel computer memory material and devices. He completed his BS at the National University of Singapore in 2008, and did his PhD at the University of Cambridge & National University of Singapore between 2008 and 2012. In 2013, he was awarded a research fellowship from MIT and SUTD to start his independent research work. He has won many prestigious awards, for example, the MIT Regional TR35 Innovators Under 35 award and Singapore TKK Young Inventors' award. His research has been highlighted in global news, such as Yahoo! News, International Business Times and Science Daily. He has written more than 10 research articles, including first authored journal papers in Science, Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences USA and Advanced Materials.
